How it works
Prior to your Initial Consultation, you will be asked to complete a three-day or seven-day food and symptoms diary, depending on the specific diagnosis. During the first meeting, a thorough health and nutrition history will be taken along with individual food intolerances or sensitivities. We will discuss lifestyle and eating habits. Based on the information gathered, Alexandra assesses the course of action and works with you to determine your goals.
On your second appointment, Alexandra presents you with a list of goals and objectives along with a suggested menu plan, suggested grocery list and convenient meal ideas. She researches menus at your favorite restaurants and makes suggestions on how to order your meals in order to avoid unwanted symptoms and to help you stay the course. During follow-up appointments, Alexandra monitors your progress, makes changes to the suggested menu plan as needed and provides additional information.
Alexandra will send a Patient Report to your Family Physician or Gastroenterologist summarizing the nutritional strategies and outcomes of the consultation process.
